NOVAE ASTRONOMY CLUB

The Northern Ohio Valley Astronomical Educators (NOVAE) was founded in 1990. It originally met at the Nature Center at Oglebay resort in Wheeling, West Virginia. It now meets at Bellaire Public Library in Bellaire, Ohio. The meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month starting at 6:00 P.M. If this date is a holiday, then it is rescheduled for another date.
NOVAE occasionally sponsors field trips to places, such as the Allegheny Observatory, or events that are of interest to amateur astronomers. Members of the club have served as judges at science fairs. The club has also held public viewing sessions and actively participated in Astronomy Day. NOVAE members can purchase Sky & Telescope or Astronomy magazines at a reduced cost.
NOVAE is a member of the Astronomical League
The President is Henry Winchester.
